Our club went off-grid for the first time by camping at Coopers Creek campground along the Thomson River.
We had two Airstreams and a Jayco attend:
- 1959 Tradewind 'Miles' owned by the Weinzettl family
- 1966 Tradewind 'Peggy Sue' owned by the Curtis-Griffiths family
- Jayco owned by the Semmens family
It was a relatively small rally with six adults and eight kids aged from 16 months to 12 years old. The Thomson River was only 30 seconds walk from the campsite and Walhalla was a 15 minute drive. The kids fished for brown trout, we watched motorbikes and 4WDs cross the river, we cooked with campfire and explored Walhalla township (including its famous lolly shop!).
